The company

Set up in 2006, the team at BigBox Software come from a wide range of backgrounds, from computing science through to computer aided design and manufacture. The gang also has experience of doing it for themselves', most of us have had a go at running other companies before we got this one up and running. Between us we bring together a diverse range of skills that have helped us develop a fresh approach to problem solving. There's over 50 years worth of combined computing experience that can be brought to bear on a project if it's needed. The company benefits from being based in London in the UK, where we have access to some really talented people. We have our own dedicated infrastructure in our own hosting facility taking advantage of the latest developments in virtual and grid computing.

Developing an approach

BigBox Software are proud of the development we do and we try and apply a cutting-edge approach to our software design. There is a lot of learning, and head scratching as the development team try new and innovative ways to tease out solutions, but we think that in the end we come up with neat applications that contain pretty clean code.

Delivering software solutions

BigFilebox was developed by the team at BigBox Software in response to the growing demand for large file transfer, the aim was to develop an application that removed the headaches associated with transferring large files electronically. Originally conceived as a stand-alone solution to solve the problem for SMEs, it quickly became apparent that a web based application would be able to help even the smallest customer. So even before the stand-alone version had made it out of concept development, we began working on the infrastructure needed to develop a 24/7, always on application.

Integration

The key to a successful application is usability and BigBox Software develop solutions based on client need. Clients always seem to want usable applications, and why not! They want apps that are simple to use and that are powerful tools. The design team at BigBox Software are keen to listen to our clients because listening helps us make the crucial design changes. Integrating feedback into product development turns an application from a mediocre one to a really usable one.
