SSL Encryption

BigFilebox puts the highest value on the security of the files you upload. All communication between our server and your users is protected by 256 bit encryption. Put simply, encryption is the translation of data (usually plain text) into secret code. To read an encrypted file you must have a key or password to decrypt (or recover) the information. This is the same system used for home banking and ensures the security of your data.

PCI Compliance

We are regularly audited to ensure our systems are safe for your data. Requirements for PCI compliance ensure that our system is maintained securely, we employ strong access control measures, regularly test and monitor our networks and maintain an information security policy.

Secure and reliable hosting

BigFilebox is hosted on multiple servers and in multiple data centres to make sure we're always available for you. This system of clustered hosting avoids the intolerable situation a single server can cause if it goes offline or is not functioning properly, which could cause our website to go offline. Multiple servers mean that traffic can simply be moved to a different server without interruption to your service.

Antivirus scanning

Antivirus scanning is built in to the BigFilebox system. To protect you and your clients, all uploaded files are scanned, and only files that pass the scan are available for download.
